A Recap of Advertising for Electronic Media

Advertising for Electronic Media, focuses on two aspects: The “Advertising” and the “Electronic Media”, before we move to understand more Electronic Media in Advertising’s language, we must understand what is Advertising.

The existence of Advertising comes in purpose, first we have to understand what is/are the nature of advertising; Advertising plays important roles in the Economy, Society, Marketing, and most importantly advertising is a communication tools that helps the sender (advertiser) to send message to the received (audience)

To understand Advertising, we too have to understand the advertising’s material, what are those advertising materials that we are referring to? For the print, we know the important of visual, photos; for the commercial, the importance of video and footages, and both no matter for the print or for the commercial, the script/copy play important roles too.

Script and Copy - one of the elements that deliver either Factual, Imagination or Emotional approaches to the audience, can be apply in no matter print and video advertisements; it can be applied on the dialogue, voice over, or the key text in the advertising materials.

However, no matter how strong your advertisement is, it definitely has the pros and cons side that restrict your ads effectiveness, for example TVC is definitely not going to be effective to visual impaired and RC is not going to play effect to the hearing impaired.

Advertiser basically has the products and budget where they are clear with their own products, however they have to depends on someone - the advertising agency to do the job for ’em. The jobs that advertising agency has to do: Study on their Client, what is the product, price, place, and people, and the advertising agency has to craft out the advertising plan for their client, in electronic media, the TV commercial.

There are stages of research that the advertising agency need to do; simply to understand a before and after. And agency will also focus on the previous advertising that has been done by the client. And agency should be understand when is the best time to advertise, and what kind of messages that need to be highlight during the stages.

Doing jobs is not free, especially doing advertisement is not going to be only one price; producing TVC cost not only the creative production cost, but you have to buy the media space for you to place your ads, not forgetting you are paying the advertising agency money too - therefore Advertising Agency has to keep a good relationship with them.

If the relationship is broken, it is going to be hard for the advertising agency to move on, and the client might don’t want to further collaborate with them.

Then we should know more about electronic media.

In 20th century, we cannot deny the fact that the new media technology has take over the existing TV and Radio, but the concept of how to advertise are quite similar; it is all about the competition, because previously the competition is on TV where audience determined their lifestyle based on TV schedule, but now people are being informed on digital platform, which caused all the competition has move from TV to Social Media - what is happening and what has caused that happened?

But the concept is similar; including pre plan of the commercial production, you need to conceptualise the entire plan, drafting out storyboard and propose to your client, and your client approved that we time and budget, then you proceed to producing it, and then publish it.

It is impossible that all the advertiser producing the same advertisement - same treatment for all products? aren’t it boring? there are many types of advertisement, many treatment. Howard Luck once said, “the real fact of the matter is that nobody reads ads. But people read what interest them, and sometimes it’s an AD.” 

Advertising Agency knows the 5W1H well when it comes to advertise, for instance when to deliver the radio ads - common sense, we advertise when most of our target audience is logging into that platform at one particular time. Which platforms, channel is the best - this comes to the media planning part.

Advertising plays an important role in shaping the society thought too, therefore many sociological aspects has comes into deep thought by the sociologist or society itself, for instance why do we have to link sexy girl with car, and handsome dude with perfume.

Advertising for Electronic Media, basically prepared you to assist your client to deliver the best advertisement in the best form.

NodaHiroshi: Residing in uncivilised civilian self proclaimed civilised country


Reading for couple of time of the topic that I written above, then you might understand what I am trying to deliver here.

Yes, I am a 30 years old Malaysian, who spent a quarter of my life - if I am lucky to live until 100 years old in Malaysia, a peaceful and “civilised” country that this status of “civilised” was claimed by most of the uncivilised people.

Definition of Civilised simply means that the residents who stay within a border are intellectually and emotionally stable to manage their life, in the aspects of how to run the country, how to manage and interact with people, or at least how to manage our rubbish.

Once our former Education Minister said that Malaysia Education are among the top ranked in the world, The Malaysian Digest web portal once published the news similar about it in 2015, we are at the rank of 52 out of 72 countries, where top five was leaded by Asian Countries - this seems to prove that we are really an educated group of earthlings.

Question is “which part of the society proved that we are educated?”

Apology for some racial issues that I would like to raise here, before that I do respect ALL races in Malaysia, despite you are the 60 over percent or the almost 25 percent in Malaysia, but I myself is a Chinese, feel like it is such a disgrace sometime to be name as the Malaysian Chinese.

Not all, but most, the Malaysian Chinese will take Emotional at the first place to consider first then follow by reason and the legislative or law will only come at the last to consider. For instance, “If I violate the traffic light rules, I still march even it is red light, can you forgive me because I violate it for the first time?” - in this case, we might need to reconsider whether we still need the legislative system in Malaysia.

Are we educated? Are we civilised?

  • When we still throw rubbish not into the bin but outside the rubbish bin.
  • When you see rubbish on the floor, but you think that other will pick it up but not you
  • When you insist the hygiene in your car, then you throw your rubbish out from the car.
  • When you spit out from your car to the floor and think that “it will be evaporate later”
  • When you leave your rubbish on a public area and think “the cleaner is hired for the job”

One RUBBISH can easily explained that we are not really that educated, academically yes, but morally NO.

It is such a shame that this so call civilised country is residing by uncivilised civilians, lets talk about behaviour in cinema.

When you bought a single seat along the aisle, and you are slightly late into the theatre, you approaching your row, and you realized the guy sitting next to you was lifting up his feet on the backseat of the front row, well he felt sorry and he put down his leg and let you pass through, but then he lifted it up again on the same position, feeling like he does not do anything wrong.

And the worst part is, you sees kids sitting next to him - not assuming anything, but no matter the guy is a family member of the kid or not, you have become the role model.

Talking in theatre is normal in Malaysia, but there are different levels of annoyance that you need to standby. Firstly, they thought that the level of voice is low but actually is normal chatter voices level in Mamak Stall. Secondly, answering phone calls like this is the living hall. Thirdlt, talk really loud and discussing how dumb is the actor and actresses - not mentioning when the scene is about the breakup of the hero and heroin.

We live under “defined” society, that the 60 years of definition has been haunted our life, and become our lifestyle, and also educate us on how to become Malaysian; it was define that crossing the road even it is red light for pedestrian user is permitted, as long as you don’t cause a traffic accidents.

Those definition that has been with us for 60 years, and are we going to allow it for the next 60 years? You tell me!

I am doing my best to play part in the society, because I am residing here, but the question that always crossed through my mind every morning I woke up is “Should I fit into the society because I am Malaysia, or should I not fit into this mutant society? But if I don’t fit into this mutant-ed society, am I consider a patriotic Malaysian?”

野田弘也不知道為甚麼:OH卡/安全感



2018年1月22日,我離開早九晚五的工作形勢將近一年之久,對於很多八零末代出生的年輕人而言,其實誰不奢望有這樣的生活;自己控制時間,還有多餘的時間給自己,甚至還可以做更多的事情,同時間,還是可以賺錢維持生活。

這對於很多人而言,真的是理想生活,其實也不是很特別的事情,只是對於認識我的朋友而言,他們就會說,「哇!你終於不是那些大忙人。」

其實,事實我還是「大忙人」,只是腦袋裏更加忙。

我現在任教的職務時間不定,有時候工作二、三、四,有時候只是工作兩天,一天的工作時間可能只是四到六個小時,準備好教材後,其他都是自己的時間。

有了時間,就開始胡思亂想,這些胡思亂想,最後變成讓自己腦袋更加忙碌的原因。

就在這一天,因為緣分而終於和鶴鳴禪寺的傳聞法師見面,師傅邀請我來北方大學的生活營聽課;我在想這種難得的機會,肯定要來啊!況且2018年我想要研究楞嚴經,這裡是最好的地方了。

「你有玩過OH卡嗎?」我說沒有,心裡在想「佛教不是不算命嗎?」

「OH卡不是算命哦,是一個根據自己的潛意識裏反應出心裏在想些什麼的卡片。」

我想說,試一下也無妨。

講師是認識的佛學同修的鄰居、前同事,甚至是朋友,我是四組人裏最後一位結識他的人。

「抽卡,憑著圖片,說出你想說,你看到的。」組員裡,平均抽了三到四張,只有我抽了七張。

我抽到了

一,兩人身穿藍色、綠色的人在看海 - 我的回應是我想住到海邊去,可能我想要尋找這樣的自由。旁邊的人是誰?我暫時不知道,有些人認為我是要找另外一半 - 可能吧?

二,我抽到了兩個身穿藍色衣服的人,一個在巴士上,一個在巴士下;我把巴士寓意成帶我到目標的一個重要工具,而我說再見的是一種束縛,是金錢的束縛。

因為看不到自己真正要解決的是什麼,所以我可以抽多一張卡。

三,我看到一張床,我所解釋到的是舒服的空間。

抽到這裡的時候,全一色都是綠色,到底這個綠色是什麼?

因為思緒過於模糊,我被要求抽兩張;解釋兩個結果。

四,我選擇了彈著吉他的男人,因為我現在是音樂聯盟的主席,我覺得音樂是快樂的。

其實,我想,我只需要一個安全感。

其實,我大概知道,“這男人真的很多想法!一點也不是一個簡單的人。”

其實,師傅說,如果真的是安全感,就接受它,你現在需要安全感。

那其實這個安全感,是舒服還是束縛?

夜深的時候,學員們在休息,而我在處理一些工作和公務(我都叫UCMA的事情叫公務)。

從新思考,我只是一個過於空閒而胡思亂想的男人,後來我重新看第二張牌,我覺得我在和我過去的自己說再見,是我自己給予我自己束縛,而不是一個外在的原因。

而這個青色的元素,就是一個舒服的顏色,解除我束縛的元素。

野田弘任教系列:壞蛋蟲

執教鞭任教至今已經六個月,說不起桃李滿天下,但至少慢慢習慣了被稱呼「老師」,每一次的期末都是分手的季節,「分手」不再屬於情侶的事情了,只是上一次的分手還有機會看到學生,這一次的分手,好像比較難在學校裏看到大家了。

最後一堂課,第十四周,就算說會溫習考試範圍,可是還是沒有辦法把你們全部吸引過來,勉強還是沒有幸福啊!原以為最後的一席話可以讓大家聽到,可是還是沒有辦法。






只是,我知道什麼事情讓你們煩惱。



那,老師想要,在這裏對你們說一些話;

我是帶著社會經驗進入校園的,是一個受過領域灞陵和欺負過來的生存者,很多人已經因為沒有辦法堅持和忍受,就已經失去原有的動力,離開了這個多姿多彩但是爾虞我詐的傳播行業。

可是我堅持著,然後把握堅持的帶過來這裡分享。

我不是英文說得很溜的那個老師,可是我很感恩我的學生是當面指正我的發音,我覺得這是很難得的事情,因為學生也希望你好。Thanks to you, all of you who pointed out my english pronunciation, that really helps me to be even more better.

學生說「老師原來你是雞湯系的。」聽到的時候,我還在想到底你們在說什麼,後來才知道,我這個囉嗦到一個不行的人,原來就是你們口中雞湯系的老師。

對!每一次我都告訴我自己,「責備一下吧!」但是在想要開口的那一剎那,我還是大吐一口氣,最後還是忍下來了;可是最後一天,我還是開罵了 - 也不算罵,只是語重心長的說了一番話。

最後一堂課,離開前,發現到車子上有一個字條,有一罐咖啡,字條裏寫著「來自一群小屁孩」-你們也知道對吧!

記得,這個領域雖然多姿多彩,但是很多人會因為你的才華而妒忌著,想要絆倒你;而這個時候你要站得更穩,讓對方因為你的才華,雖然膽怯但是卻沒有辦法靠近你,打敗你。

可是你的學習態度必須要維持,不可以輕易的說不;如果你感覺到累,讓自己鬆懈一下,就要趕快回到責任上,如果你感覺到懶惰的話,記得敲敲自己的頭,跟自己說「如果我不繼續走,後面有人跟上來了。」

執教,我的火爆脾氣還有情緒已經慢慢被「修」走了,畢竟任教不行將自己的情緒帶入班上,而且任性、調皮、叛逆的學生惹怒你,你也不能夠因此而發脾氣,「沒有啊!你可以生氣啊!」 -只是我做不到。

學習是雙邊都必須要共同努力進行的,所以謝謝我的學生讓我學習到「凡事莫生氣」。

記得我最後一堂課說過的。



「我期待下一次見到你的時候,是在領域裏,你來單挑我,打敗我,可是那個時候我已經準備好迎接你的挑戰了。」

也請讓我,有機會在舞台下看著你發光,很自豪驕傲、囂張的和旁邊的陌生人說,「他,就是我的學生。」

記得,「凡事沒有可不可以,是自己要或是不要。」


有時候雖然是食物中毒,但是還是來上我的課,還是把功課做好。

有時候,他們會恨不得趕快結束我那沈悶的課,馬上處理其他功課。

有時候覺得自己很幸福,因為班上都是很厲害的人

有時候真的覺得很幸福,因為學生們願意做你的功課

有時候一面吃午餐都還是來上課。

有時候在門口席地而坐討論功課


有時候還是會很生氣,為甚麼最後一分鐘才來溫習功課。
有時候很生氣明明很簡單的,都答不出


有時候就是很喜歡看到你們驚訝的樣子

有時候自己在假裝覺得你們還沒離開是不捨得我(哈哈)


有時候其實上我的課也沒有心情,因為在煩惱著其他更煩人的功課

野田弘看電影:大娛樂家(觀看六次後的第二篇)



大娛樂家/馬戲團王/巴納姆傳等,我從電影正視在馬來西亞登陸上映,到下畫,總共看了六次;你可能覺得我很瘋狂,我的想法就是要以身體行動支持著好的電影,花錢支持好作品也沒關係。

巴納姆在電影裏和記者的對話,因為被質問,到底讓觀眾看到假的東西,到底是一件好事,還是不好呢?巴納姆回應,「你最後一次笑的時候,是幾時呢?」

沒有人會強顏歡笑,笑,只會發自內心的笑。

「你最後一次笑的時候是什麼時候?」


大娛樂家,在選擇休傑克曼、柴克艾弗隆為主要演員的時候,眼尖的人應該也懂得這無非也是要吸引普遍大眾愛帥哥和肌肉的粉絲來到電影院看戲;再說,預告片強調歌舞元素,所以說明你是來看帥哥美女跳舞唱歌給你聽;再說,幾位演員都不是歌手出身,所以唱歌不會西北好聽(除了羅蘭演唱的Never Enough)- 懂的人都會懂。

選擇來看戲的人,都已經有心理準備了;準備被電影的歌舞震撼到。

當然看電影的人有講評的權利,所以酸民總會以為自己是很好的講評員,不會給予這部電影很高分 - 當皇帝也也未必會被大家喜歡和支持,也算了。

當然巴納姆不是最偉大的人,如果你稍微讀讀歷史的話,巴納姆沒有電影裏描述的那嚒慘,但他的拍檔確實是從小就是窮困人家,巴納姆討厭政治,但是還是當上了政治家;電影啊!不就是為了讓更多的觀眾看,所以才引用一點,製造一點嘛~

為甚麼我會寫這篇文章呢?

純屬因為看到很多自稱影評人,因為「看了很多人說好看,所以自己調高了水平,然後看了覺得沒有想像中好看,所以就批評。」的文章,甚至不是專業音樂人,可是將音樂批到一文不值。

如果真要批評的話,那很多歌詞裏的字眼都不適合在那個年代啊!可是聽音樂嘛,不就是爽就好。

看電影嘛~

再問問這些酸民;沒有人會強顏歡笑,笑,只會發自內心的笑。

野田弘領悟「感恩」

感恩這兩個字,說得容易,但你領悟了多少?

以前我只會把「感恩」兩個字放在嘴邊,寫在電郵上,但就是沒有實際領悟到其中的意思,直到最近這幾年,才知道原來是這個意思。

事情的發生都是有因有果的,都是緣份;好的事情發生,或多少因為你過去曾經做了好事,而壞的事情發生,可能就是罪孽來討債的時候,而無論什麼狀況發生,心得要存感恩。

當你發現前方開車的人沒有打訊號燈就直接轉道,害你差點和他有擦撞,你必須要覺得感恩,感恩你遇到這樣的人,讓他提醒你不要成為這樣的爛人,提醒你轉道必須要打訊號燈,提醒你不要口出狂言-畢竟他聽不到。

當你發現你家裡的水管選擇在12月30日破裂,而水管維修工可以在12月31日來到你家進行維修的時候,你必須要感恩 - 謝謝水管在這個因緣點下破裂,而切也要感激他願意在國民上下倒數的日子裏,來到你家為你進行維修,令你不需要度過一個傷心的新年。

凡事感恩都起步於小事情,從小事情去領悟到感恩的真道理。很多人都覺得「這是小事,無足掛齒」,但成功的人都是因為懂得經營小事情,就是這些“小事情”而讓他們變成“大成功”

感恩放前頭,萬事都順手。
